SV VoyagerIMPERIAL 51' formosa Pilothouse
Price: $200,000 USD ** REDUCED TO $120,000 USD ** This is an exceptionally beautiful classic cruiser (51', 58' overall) designed by William Garden, built in 1973 by the Formosa Boat Building shipyard. She will be able to fulfill your desire to cruise, sail around the world or comfortably live aboard. This may be your dream boat... The Vessel is in very good general condition, has plenty of heavy duty equipment and is "ready to go". The hull is of thick solid fiberglass, the deck is a tough fiberglass-plywood-fiberglass sandwich with teak overlay. Her Engine, a PERKINS 4-236 85hp was completely re-built as new in September 2002, as was the transmission. Since rebuilding, the engine has been rarely used and barely has 6-700 hours of use. Both fuel and water tanks carry approximately 160 gallons each, giving the boat an adequate supply for mid-long range cruising. The fuel supply gives the boat a range of about 500 to 600 nautical miles @ 1300/1500 RPM, average cruise speed 6 knots (5 to 7.5 depending on wind and sea direction), without carrying additional fuel jugs. Improvements were made with the time. A new 40 amp Xantrex "smart" battery charger takes care of good recharging of the ship's batteries. The vessel is equipped with a case able to hold up to 8 12volt batteries group 31. They can be connected in two separate banks, engine starting batteries and house. The main switch has been replaced and two circuit breakers added, one for each battery bank. All the main electrical battery cables have been replaced with Anchor marine grade material. The boat is equipped with a 5 KW diesel Generator on top of the engine alternator. A dedicated ammeter allows monitoring the alternator output. The boat is also equipped with an "Earth interface" 2000 watt inverter, providing 110 volts AC. A Marinetics electric panel provides switches and circuit breakers for all appliances and power sources.
The sail inventory includes brand new Main and Mizzen (April 2006). Staysail and Jib are in average good condition and a roller furler is provided for the jib.
